Beyond the close, the Town Path leads to the Harnham Water Meadows and the River Avon, where sheep graze and wildlife thrives.

Salisbury also provides an ideal base from which to explore this historic corner of Southern England. Visitor attractions are abundant - Wilton House, Stonehenge, Longleat, Bath, Winchester, The New Forest and the South Dorset coast, all being within an hour's drive.
