Peacefully situated in the midst of rolling farmland, some 15 minutes' drive from the sea at Whitsand Bay, this Georgian farmhouse has been restored and completely refurbished with loving care by its owners. The house retains a number of its original features and provides a very comfortable and welcoming base from which to explore this easily accessible part of Cornwall, a short drive from the Tamar Bridge or Torpoint ferry.
This part of the county is perhaps less well known than other parts further west but is no less attractive and offers gentle, undulating, unspoilt countryside with easy access to coastal villages such as Looe and Polperro. From Tideford the road to the coast offers glimpses of sheltered inlets and wooded creeks contrasted with the exposed cliffs above Whitsand Bay (nearest sandy beach) near Rame Head. All the attractions of Plymouth (Barbican Centre, Marine Aquarium and famous Hoe) are conveniently close as is the St Mellion country club and golf course and the National Trust properties of Cotehele, Saltram and Anthony House. The Eden Project is about 40 minutes' drive to the west.
Tredudwell Farmhouse occupies an elevated position in the heart of the farm and enjoys good views from the upstairs bedrooms across a valley towards the coast. The interior is well equipped and lacks for nothing in terms of the facilities it offers. It has been awarded a 4 star grading by Visit Britain.
