Two unusual barn conversions a short distance from the River Wye....
Situated at the end of a long farm track and beautifully sited in a natural bowl of hills 1½ miles from the River Wye and from the nearest village, Glyn Farm Barns have been attractively created out of old farm buildings and sit on a hillside overlooking the valley. On the edge of the Forest of Dean, it is ideally located for the numerous attractions of the Wye Valley and surrounding area: Monmouth (4 miles), Symonds Yat, Chepstow Castle, Tintern Abbey, Offa's Dyke Path - and of course the Wye itself. Fishing is available by arrangement and for younger visitors there are many attractions of a working farm to see (pony rides can be arranged).
Glyn Farm Barns provide comfortable holiday accommodation with a pleasantly rustic feel - a welcoming base to return to at the end of an active day.
Accommodation
Cider Mill Barn, which forms the other half of these converted buildings, has long views over the approach to the farm and an individual interior style.
Entrance from courtyard into large kitchen/dining room with flagged floor. Steps to very large double height sitting room with exposed beams, flagged floor & rugs, and free-standing woodburner. French windows/glassed doors on both sides. Unusual exposed staircase with protective panels on both sides to a half landing and double bedroom with view over valley. Bathroom/wc. Further flight of stairs to 2nd floor twin bedroom under the eaves with partial curtaining from small landing.
Small patio area reached through French windows from sitting room, with long views over valley approach to farm.
