Situated in an attractive, narrow street, just 50 yards above the harbour and a few minutes' walk from Porthmeor Beach, this old fisherman's cottage is built from the ballast bricks from ships which used to call into St Ives to collect tin.

One of four Hideaways holiday cottages in St Ives, it has has been completely restored by its fashion designer/artist owners to provide simple yet stylish accommodation. The cottage is in a conservation area in the oldest part of St Ives, with shops, art galleries, pubs and restaurants an easy walk along colourful, narrow streets and alleyways, which are alive with sound and movement.

St Ives offers superb sandy beaches, ideal for swimming and surfing (wind breaks and surf boards are provided at the cottage), while for those wishing to explore further afield, there is a coastal path in both directions and many beautiful coves, headlands and landmarks (Cape Cornwall, Lands End, Sennen Cove, St Michael's Mount) within easy driving distance.

Much thought has gone into the planning, decoration and furnishing of Church Place. Attractive fabrics and textiles and original paintings by the owner serve to enhance its appeal.

Entrance into cream painted, light, open-plan living room; sitting area with open fireplace (decorative feature only), dining area and imaginatively planned, well-equipped fitted kitchen with island block. Steepish stairs with balustrade to landing with space for a cot. Double bedroom with en suite shower. Bathroom/wc (N.B. small bath). Enclosed, steep stairs to 2nd floor bedroom with (2'6") twin beds and child's single futon; original 'lookout' window affords attractive views across the rooftops to St Ives Bay.
