Bywater House Studio

In a courtyard setting opposite a large thatched house at the very end of a quiet no through lane which runs through a private estate, The studio enjoys immediate access via the lane onto a long sandy beach, which is little used by the general public.

Middleton-on-Sea is a quaint coastal village with many attractive houses, an excellent selection of local shops, a pub, a restaurant and a fish & chip shop which was voted 3rd best in the country. The village has an interesting history; over a century ago part of the village was abandoned to the sea. The foundations of the church, 1/4 mile from the shore, remain and can still be visited at low tide.The village was also renowned as a haunt for smugglers.

The Sea Lane Estate is a rare gem on the South Coast and there is much to do and see in the area. 20 minutes' drive away, Chichester has several golf courses, a flourishing theatre, thriving summer arts festival and an ancient cathedral dating back some 900 years. Further West, Portsmouth, steeped in maritime history, boasts Nelson's flagship, H.M.S. Victory, Henry VIII's Tudor Warship 'The Mary Rose' and the pride of Queen Victoria's fleet, H.M.S. Warrior. To the east there's Arundel Castle, seat of the Dukes of Norfolk as well as the Arundel Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre. For horse racing enthusiasts there are race courses at nearby Fontwell and Goodwood.

The Studio is at ground floor level, very comfortable, well equipped and immaculately decorated.
