Butler's Cottage is one of a pair of attractive thatched cottages in the quiet but well provided village of North Cadbury, less than a mile from the A303 with its excellent communications, but exuding rural tranquillity. Its location affords easy access to a multitude of attractions and places of interest – Glastonbury with its abbey and Tor; Wells, a very attractive cathedral city, and Sherborne (also with a famous abbey) are all relatively close by, whilst the region also offers many historic houses such as Longleat, Montacute and Barrington Court (NT). RNAS Yeovilton is only a few miles away (Concorde 002) and in opposite directions both Cheddar (Gorge and Caves) and the beautiful old city of Salisbury with its magnificent cathedral are an easy day`s outing. The village of North Cadbury is easily reached from Sparkford on the A303 and is set in pleasant rural countryside with excellent walks in the immediate area. There is a lively and well stocked shop close to the cottage and a visiting mobile post office.
Dating from the early 17th century, the cottage has been refurbished to a high standard with comfortable accommodation for four people whilst retaining much of its original character. It affords a very attractive base for a quiet relaxing holiday exploring this interesting area.

Door from street to small lobby. Sitting room with an impressive heavily beamed ceiling and inglenook fireplace containing a woodburning stove. Kitchen with flagged floor, exposed beams and access to patio and rear garden. Utility room. Bathroom/wc off utilty room. Door from back of sitting room to (steep) stairs. Large landing leading to two bedrooms - main bedroom (double height) with zip & link bed offering a choice of 5’ double or 2’ 6” twins, and one twin bedroom. Separate shower room/wc.
Pretty cottage garden with lawn and flower borders to the side and paved patio to the rear. Steps lead up to a further small garden area with parking space beyond.
