Access from the parking area up steps to a garden terrace. Thereafter the accommodation is all at one level. Entrance into small but well-equipped kitchen. Door to long and very light living room with woodburner, double sofa bed and separate seating. Dining area at far end with lovely view. Bedroom with kingsize double bed and decorative fireplace. Shower room/wc.
Large private patio with furniture, BBQ and fine views. Gazebo. Shared use of major part of owner`s garden. (Small pond - children should be supervised).

| The Orangery is a gem. Situated on a hill in open country just outside the small village of Carlingcott, it is perfectly placed to provide rural peace yet speedy access to the many attractions of the area. Six miles away is the World Heritage city of Bath, internationally famous for its Roman baths, its connection with Dickens and Jane Austen, its superb architecture and most recently the new spa complex. Slightly further afield are the Kennet and Avon canal, a variety of archaeological sites and many interesting towns such as Glastonbury and Wells (don`t miss its fine cathedral). Bristol and the Cotswolds are within easy reach; and for the active visitor there are lovely walks in the immediate area with a huge network of footpaths.
Awarded a 4 star grading by Visit Britain, The Orangery takes its name from the long, light living space with its three French windows giving on to the private terrace. The owner, a professional interior decorator, has employed very considerable skill in the conversion of this part of the house, thinking through every detail for the visitor`s comfort and providing extremely comfortable and well-appointed accommodation, with an especially tranquil ambience. High-quality furnishings are complemented by a very attractive outside space including fine views over the surrounding countryside, and access to the property through a bright and colourful garden.
