Situated between Bath and Tetbury in an idyllic 'hidden' valley with a meandering stream, this location exudes peace and tranquillity. The surrounding countryside typifies the wooded, hilly scenery of the Cotswolds and offers superb walking on the Cotswold Way. There is also good coarse fishing in a lake ¼ of a mile away. This part of Gloucestershire has many historic towns and attractive villages to visit - Bath, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Tetbury, Badminton, Castle Combe and Malmesbury - while Westonbirt Arboretum, the Cotswold Water Park, and, in the Severn Vale, Berkeley Castle and the Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust are also within easy driving distance.
The main cottage dates from the 17th century and stands in an idyllic, secluded garden, which is full of attractive plants and shrubs and enjoys good views over the surrounding countryside. Neathwood Cottage is a more recent, self-contained extension, which blends happily with the existing cottage. Though small, it is very comfortable, attractively furnished and well equipped.
Accommodation
Stone steps lead up from the parking area to an entrance pathway. Open plan living room with sitting area, dining area and a compact but well equipped fitted kitchen. Stairs lead to a double bedroom and a bathroom/w.c. with hand shower attachment to the bath and electric towel rail.
Secluded garden area adjoining the annexe with small summerhouse and shared use of other parts of the owner's garden.
