Barn Cottage affords panoramic views stretching over 40 miles

Approached via a very pretty track through fields and farmland, Barn Cottage is situated on the Western scarp of the Cotswolds in a private location within the grounds of the owners’ attractive stone house, and affords spectacular, panoramic views over the valley below and West towards the Malvern Hills and Welsh borders. Visitors can enjoy walking through the fourteen acres of private grounds with easy access onto The Cotswolds Way, riding at the nearby riding stables, playing tennis on a private court or just relaxing in the well-maintained garden. For those who wish to explore further afield the whole aea is bursting with places of interest: historic cities and towns such as Cheltenham, Cirencester and Bath are very close, and the magnificent Cotswolds are on the doorstep, a paradise for walkers, garden enthusiasts (don’t miss Westonbirt Arboretum) and antique hunters. Just the other side of Gloucester are the historic Forest of Dean, Severn Estuary and Wye Valley. Horseriding, golf and fishing are all available locally.

Barn Cottage is believed to be over 200 years old and has been sympathetically converted to a high standard, retaining a number of period features including roof beams and providing attractive and very comfortable accommodation for two people, with particularly pretty patio and garden areas. It affords the perfect base for a holiday in this deservedly popular region.

Accommodation

This is all on one level. Entrance from patio at rear of cottage to flagged hallway. Sitting room with wood burner, circular oak wooden dining table and French windows to front garden. Very light bedroom with 5ft bed and fine southerly views from this elevated position. Well equipped kitchen with breakfast table. Modern shower room/wc.

Sunny, secluded patio at rear of cottage. Gravelled and grassed area in front with chiminea and spectacular views due west stretching over 40 miles. Immediate access to 14 acres of grounds including two very attractive small lakes (NB children must be supervised). Use of the owners' hard tennis court by arrangement. Fly-fishing at nearby trout fishery.
