This picture-postcard, Grade II listed, Cotswold stone cottage, approached across an attractive garden, has character and charm. Situated well back from the road through Halford village, it affords an excellent base from which to explore the unspoilt and beautiful villages of the North Cotswolds - Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water, all being less than 20 miles away. The cottage is also only eight miles from Stratford-on-Avon with its Shakespeare connections, many ancient buildings, shops and restaurants, lovely river walks and boat trips on the canal. Warwick with its superb castle is only slightly further afield while Oxford is within an hour's drive.

Whilst retaining a wealth of original features, including many beams and exposed timbers, the cottage has been sympathetically modernised to incorporate a well-equipped fitted kitchen and very light conservatory opening from the sitting room, providing the best of both worlds - a very pleasant base for exploring the many treasures of the Heart of England.
